Our Process

We know how much design contributes to business, art, and culture.
You deserve personal service and that’s how we work. From the concept phase through to delivery, we’re here to answer your project needs. So, if your project needs outside-the-box thinking or/and services, we’ll work together to get you the best solution. Oh, and we also take budget very seriously, keeping you up to date on the most economical ways to a successful outcome.

Our outline below gives you a better idea of how we handle the various stages of any given project:

Stage one

Good design is a conversation. So first we meet and talk. We work hard at understanding what you need, or helping to define what you think you might need. The beginning of every project starts by listening and talking. We ask a lot of questions to make sure that we have a clear understanding of the project at hand. We focus on defining the problem before jumping to any solutions.

Stage two

Investigation: This stage is where the visual personality of the project begins. We like to take our lead from you and the manuscript – the answer can lie within and sometimes it’s in the smallest of details. Once we uncover the solution we think about the visuals: images, color palette, texture, and typography. We put the first round of ideas together and present for feedback.

Stage three

Feedback: We always meet to discuss concept layouts, it is important for us to hear your feedback on our ideas. Usually collaborative decisions are made about what will be seen in the next round of layouts. Paper stock, and binding finishes may also be part of our conversation at this stage.

Stage four

Production: With all desicions in place and the final design decided upon, we enter the production phase. Final digital artwork is readied for printer production. All edits are also underway at this stage and we maintain a fast pace of back and forth with the client. Paper choices, print or binding finishes, are finalized and if needed discussions with the printer or/and printing supervision is also organized.
